Train to be a Teacher at Montsaye Academy
Montsaye Academy has a successful track record of training outstanding teachers who have gone on to teach at a wide range of schools across the county and more widely. And many who are now successful members of staff at Montsaye.
If you are interested in training to teach at Montsaye then please either contact Peter Tomkins who has oversight of Initial Teacher Education at the school or our training partner, the Pilgrim Partnership.
There are two teacher training routes we offer:
• A School Direct route which can be funded either by a bursary or a student loan
• A Salaried School Direct route which may be available to trainees who match certain criteria and wish to train in Maths, Science, English or Humanities
To find out more about funding routes for teacher training start with the Get Into Teaching website.
We also have experience of working with teachers who have been out of teaching for some time to devise programmes to help them ready themselves to return to teaching.
If you would like a chance to come into school and gain some experience then please contact Peter Tomkins.
Finally if you would like the opportunity to work as an unqualified teacher whilst you train, or are an experienced unqualified teacher who like the opportunity for fast track assessment whilst in post at the school, then please contact Peter Tomkins.
