Student Care and Guidance

At Montsaye we expect high standards of behaviour based on care and respect for all. As students progress through the academy, Personal, Social and Health Education remains a central feature. The academy places considerable emphasis on encouraging personal responsibility and there is a House Point reward system that recognises the hard work, effort and success of students and encourages them to assume responsibility for their studies and their contribution to the general well being of all members of the academy.

Recognition and celebration is emphasised at Montsaye rather than  focusing on sanctions, but students are punished, if necessary, including the use of after school detentions. If serious problems do arise, parents and teachers will work closely together at an early stage so that the problems can be resolved together.

We also expect students to care for the environment in which they work and to show respect for academy facilities and buildings.
