Employer Description

Montsaye Academy is a vibrant and active school community where learning and achievement, in their widest sense, are viewed as the core purpose of our work. It is also a caring and supportive environment in which children can become adults, unafraid to make mistakes, flexible enough to overcome obstacles and ambitious enough to be

extraordinary not average.

We offer a broad, balanced curriculum, which is enhanced by our extracurricular Session 6 provision.  There are lots of opportunities for students to develop their learning muscles, enhancing their basic skills

of communication and literacy as well as exploring particular strengths

and interests. Our staff demonstrate every day their commitment to supporting young people as they explore the world around them and

have an unswerving belief in the ability of our students to be amazing.

Our teachers work together to improve their practice and are continually developing imaginative ways to engage students. We also work closely with the seven primary schools in the Montsaye Community Learning Partnership to build on the children’s experiences before they join us,

and with both the Latimer Arts College and Southfield School to offer an enhanced curriculum through our joint Sixth Form offer.

Education in Partnership, the academy’s motto, means working closely with parents and carers to support students to make outstanding

progress. It also means encouraging students to work together to

support one another. Our vertical tutoring system, with students in

mixed age forms, allows us to develop this caring, supportive ethos and respect for oneself and for each other is a key priority of our behaviour

for learning policies.

We provide an engaging curriculum, constantly develop our teaching workforce and create an atmosphere of mutual respect so that we are

able to meet the individual needs of children. Our commitment to you is simple: students leaving Montsaye will be resilient, proactive,

independent learners able to face the challenges of the adult world and

to lead where others follow.
